On city sites, outreach is often the critical number. If a drain, kerb, landscaped strip or podium keeps the machine back from the wall, you need more horizontal reach.

- Access route: measure gates, ramps, basement entrances and turning space. Most wrong-machine problems come from an access point nobody measured.
- Ground and slabs: check for drains, manholes, backfilled trenches and podium slabs. Confirm slab capacity with your engineer before a heavy boom travels on it.
- Permits and traffic: if the boom will stand on a road or pavement, arrange permits, barricades and a ground person well before delivery day.
- Weather: afternoon thunderstorms build quickly. Bring the platform down if lightning is near or wind picks up beyond the machine’s rated limit.

Can a boom lift replace scaffolding for a high-rise facade repair?
For short-duration tasks, a large telescopic boom can sometimes replace scaffolding and get the job done faster. The Dingli 44m Telescopic Boom Lift reaches 44.4 m working height with 25.6 m outreach. For long facade programmes, scaffolding or gondolas may still be the better option.
Do I need an articulating or a telescopic boom for glazing work?
If the machine can park with a clear, straight line to the glass, a telescopic boom gives more height and outreach. If you have to reach over a canopy, podium edge or landscaping, choose an articulating boom.
Can I use an electric boom inside a KL mall atrium or data centre?
Yes. The Dingli 16m and 18m booms are battery powered and zero-emission in use, which suits enclosed spaces. Check the floor or slab rating with your engineer before the machine travels on it.
Where do your boom lifts come from?
From our yard in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. We do not have a KL branch. We deliver to sites across Johor, KL & Selangor, and transport cost depends on distance and machine size.
Do you supply an operator for KL boom lift jobs?
Our standard rental covers the machine. We provide operator training on site or at our yard, and if you need an operator, ask us when you enquire. Everyone in the basket should wear a harness clipped to the platform anchor point.
What working height should I ask for on a high-rise job?
Quote the height of the work point measured from where the machine will stand, not the height of the building. Working height is platform height plus about 2 m. If the machine has to park back from the wall, outreach matters as much as height.
