Telehandler Rental Johor from an Authorised Merlo Distributor
For telehandler rental in Johor, A&G Equipment Sdn Bhd supplies Merlo telehandlers for rent and sale from our yard at Kawasan Perindustrian SILC, Iskandar Puteri. As an authorised Merlo distributor, you deal directly with the team that sells, services and rents the machines.
A telehandler has a boom that extends forwards and upwards, with a quick-change carriage for forks, buckets, jibs or a work platform. One machine can unload a lorry, cross rough ground and place a pallet on an upper floor. We rent daily, weekly or monthly and offer free site surveys.
Telehandler vs Forklift vs Crane
| Feature | Telehandler | Forklift | Mobile crane |
|---|---|---|---|
| How it lifts | Telescopic boom, up and forwards | Vertical mast, straight up | Boom with hoist rope and hook |
| Ground | Rough, uneven sites | Flat, firm surfaces | Firm ground with outrigger pads |
| Forward reach | Yes, several metres | Very limited | Large |
| Attachments | Forks, bucket, jib/hook, work platform | Mainly forks | Mainly hook |
| Carries loads around site | Yes | On good surfaces | Usually fixed set-up |
| Best for | Placing materials at height on sites | Loading and stacking on level ground | Very heavy or long-radius lifts |
For warehouse loading on concrete, see forklift rental in Johor. To lift people rather than materials, a boom lift rental in Johor is usually the right machine. Our telehandler vs forklift guide explains the choice in more detail.
Merlo Telehandler Models and Specifications

How to Choose: Capacity, Height, Reach and Attachments
| Your job | What to check | Typical Merlo class |
|---|---|---|
| Moving pallets and blocks on tight sites | Low, narrow machine; around 3 tonnes | Compact (TF33.7) |
| Placing materials high and deep into a building | Stabilisers for height and reach | Stabilised (P40.17, up to 17 m) |
| Precast, steel bundles, heavy plant parts | Capacity and ground bearing | High capacity (P72.10, P120.10) |
| Many lifts from one spot, crane-type work | 360° slewing, winch or hook | Rotating (Roto 50.26, up to 26 m) |
Send us the heaviest load (including pallet), the highest placement point, the furthest reach and the attachment you need. Suspended loads on a jib or hook use a different load chart from forks.

Where Our Telehandlers Work
Data centres
Data centre builds around Sedenak and Kulai use telehandlers to handle steel, cladding, cable drums and M&E equipment on spread-out sites where ground is still being prepared.
M&E and electrical contractors
Telehandlers lift plant, cable drums and even access equipment onto upper levels. Combine one with a scissor lift rental in Johor for installation work.
Construction
From landed housing in Iskandar Puteri and Kulai to commercial buildings in Johor Bahru, telehandlers feed blocks, rebar, formwork and roofing materials to every level.
Factories and industrial plants
In Pengerang, Pasir Gudang and Tanjung Langsat, high-capacity telehandlers move pipe spools, valves and equipment during maintenance and shutdowns.
Rent or Buy?
Renting suits project peaks and one-off lifts. If you use a telehandler regularly, owning may make more sense: we sell Merlo telehandlers, accept trade-ins and provide repair and maintenance for the life of the machine. See machines for sale and trade-in.
How Renting Works
- Enquire – WhatsApp 012-235 6096 or call 07-509 5663 with your site, loads, height, reach and dates.
- Site survey – free, to check access and ground.
- Quote and booking – model, attachments, term and transport confirmed.
- Delivery and handover – including operator training if needed.
- Support – call us if a fault develops.
- Collection or extension – message us before the end date.
Read our daily, weekly or monthly rental guide to plan the term.
Safety and PMA Compliance
Lifting machinery generally needs DOSH registration and a valid PMA before use, and site teams will ask to see it. Only trained operators should drive a telehandler. Follow the load chart for each attachment and stabiliser set-up, deploy stabilisers fully on firm ground, and only lift people in an approved work platform. Our PMA checklist covers the paperwork. Always check current DOSH requirements.
Rates
Rates are quoted on enquiry and depend on model and capacity, rental period, site location, transport and attachments. Roto and the largest high-capacity models are quoted on request.

Telehandler rental FAQs
How much does telehandler rental in Johor cost?
Rates are quoted on enquiry and depend on the model, rental period, site location, transport and attachments. WhatsApp 012-235 6096 for a firm quote.
Which Merlo telehandlers do you supply?
The compact TF33.7 (3,300 kg, 7 m), stabilised P40.17 (4,000 kg, 17 m), high-capacity P72.10 (7,200 kg, 10 m) and P120.10 (12,000 kg, 10 m), and the rotating Roto 50.26 (5,000 kg, 26 m). Please check availability for your dates.
What is the difference between a telehandler and a forklift?
A forklift lifts straight up a mast and needs flat, firm ground. A telehandler's boom lifts up and forwards, it handles rough terrain and it takes attachments such as buckets, jibs and work platforms.
What is a rotating (Roto) telehandler?
Its upper structure turns through 360° while the machine sits on its stabilisers, so it can lift, slew and place loads without moving. With the right attachment it can handle many crane-type lifts.
Which attachments are available?
Pallet forks, buckets, jibs and hooks, winches and approved work platforms, depending on the model. Availability varies, so ask when you enquire.
Are your telehandlers PMA-certified?
Yes. Every machine is delivered with a valid PMA and is DOSH/PMA-registered where required.
Do you provide operator training?
Yes, on site or at our yard. Operators must be trained and competent for the machine and attachment they use.
Can I buy or trade in a Merlo telehandler?
Yes. As an authorised Merlo distributor we sell Merlo telehandlers in Malaysia, accept trade-ins and provide repair and maintenance after the sale.
Soalan lazim (Bahasa Malaysia)
Berapa harga sewa telehandler di Johor?
Harga diberikan atas permintaan dan bergantung pada model, tempoh sewa, lokasi tapak dan pengangkutan.
Adakah telehandler disertakan sijil PMA?
Ya. Setiap telehandler dihantar dengan sijil PMA yang sah.
